I am a story teller. I am a very detail oriented person. I love to watch people. Because of that my wife always has wanted me to write a journal of family stories. I am bad at writing, so it rarely gets done. I am hoping that if I do this blog thing, it will give me a chance to write some of those stories and not seem like such a chore. Keep your fingers crossed.
Let me start by stating that life (especially family life) is full of ups and downs. As humans we seem to focus more on the downs than the ups. That seems weird to me because there are so many more ups than downs. And besides that, the downs are not nearly as fun. So.... Here we will mostly focus on the ups. I say that because, most of my stories will probably be about my family. I don't want you to get the impression that my kids are perfect, just that there are pleny of perfect moments to enjoy.
Last night was one of those moments. Tanner was having a bad day. I think because he was lacking sleep from all the holiday festivities. He was grumpy about most everything. As we were getting ready for bed, Tyler discovered he had lost his money ($40). That is a lot for a kid (alot for me for that matter). He was really worried that he would never find it. It was Tanner's turn for Family prayer. He said the normal bless the family, grandparents, prophet and missionaries and then "bless Tyler to find his money". It was not even 5 minutes after the prayer that Tyler found his money and imediately gave Tanner a hug and thanked him for his prayer. It's moments like these that we truly understand why we are instructed to become as little children. I love those Guys!
