I LOVE KAREN

Hopefully Karen does not kill me for posting these pictures. She never has been one to be in the spotlight and is also overly critical of herself and worries that she is not "perfect". However as a disclaimer I do want you to know that I chose to leave out the picture of her in the hospital after giving birth to Tanner. It too had the characteristics that I wanted to share.

Karen tends to ask me the questions that all men hate to hear. One of her favorites is about her hair. "Do you like it short or long?" "Do you like it with bangs or not?" (Before we were married I didn't know you could be with out bangs unless you were bald). I answer these questions to the best of my ability, but never to Karen's satisfaction. She also asks about clothes and all sorts of other girly questions that are bound to kill husbands, if we answer wrong. The truth is, I like it all ways. I chose these pictures because they show several different hair styles. All of which are nice, some of which are even messy, but Karen still looks GREAT. Hair is NOT the reason I fell in love with Karen.
Any of you that know Karen also love her for other reasons (sorry honey, it's not your hair or clothes)

What we all have in common is: loving Karen for her energy and excitement for life. I chose these pictures because they show that in so many different occasions and ways. Her body says "Hey, life here I am, let's have fun." Her face shines with enthusiasm and her eyes shine with a light of love that is truly sincere.

I like to tease Karen. I know, I know. No one can picture me as a tease. She does not always like it. In fact, I don't think she ever likes it, but she puts up with it most of the time and loves me any way.

However, one of the things I like to tease her about, and I am sure anyone who has ever talked to Karen can relate to this, is her ability to talk. It amazes me. At first it was amazing just how LONG she could talk. Over the years though a new aspect has come to light and it makes me love her even more. It is not just the length of the conversation, but the energy and concern. She is dedicated to a conversation when she is with you. This too at first was an easy target for teasing. She can become oblivious to the world around her while she is a conversation. The remarkable part is that she is totally into you.

When I have a conversation, it is about information. When Karen has a conversation, it is about emotion and concern. You can tell she cares about you. That is a trait that I need to develop more. That is something you can see in her eyes when she is talking to you. They say that the eyes are the windows to our souls. Karen's are Large, Beautiful and OPEN. She will share her soul with you and with it your pain and sorrow. She gets the most out of life that way.
