The kids made a lot of cute gifts and Cards for Karen. One of great interest came from Tyler. His first grade teach gave them the first part of a proverb and then the student had to finish the rest. Here are some of Tyler's Best:
Better to be safe than....getting hurt.
It's always darkest before...the light.
Never underestimate the power of... the spirit.
You can lead a horse to water but...you can't lead a dog to a Ferris wheel.
Don't' bite the hand...that is your own.
No news is ... nothing.
If you lie down with dogs, you.....will get licked.
Love all, trust...your parents.
A penny saved is....one cent.
Children should be seen an not.....seen as monsters.
If at first you don't succeed... then try your best next time.
When the blind lead the blind....they both bonk into something.
Better late than...to not be there the whole time.
All good things come....from earth.
Out of the frying pan and into....a pancake.
Don't count your chickens before.....you feed them.
Some made me laugh and others made me feel really great about his reasoning. I especially liked his trust your parents and never underestimate the power of the spirit. Another reason the Lord told us to become like little children.
